Caroline Kitchener is a renowned American journalist and author established in Washington, D.C. She is a national reporter covering abortion at The Washington Post. She also works as an author of Post Grad: Five Women and Their First Year Out of College, and as an associate editor at The Atlantic. Prior to joining the national staff, Caroline wrote about women and gender for The Lily. She bested the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting for her coverage of the result of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. Heretofore, she was a staff writer for The Lily at The Washington Post.
