She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1988 and received her JD from Creighton University School of Law in 1991. After graduating from law school, Thompson worked as an attorney at a private law firm in Washington, D.C. In 2002, she joined the Senate Republican Conference as a political consultant.
In 2006, Thompson left the RNC to start her radio career. She co-hosted the radio show “The Jeri Kehn Thompson Show” with John Batchelor from 2006 to 2011.
